  • a retrofitted Saildrive is replacing the original retractable shaft and makes the boat a lot safer and reliable in harbour and safety maneuvers
  • no hydraulic trimming is a big plus when being operated by pro-am crews
  • Full set of good sails from Brunel

Recent Results:
- Winner of Heineken Regatta 2018
- Line honours in 2021 RORC Transat Race and current race record holder
- Line honours in 2021 Gotland Runt

Construction

In 2016 the underwatership was completley stripped down to the original hull filler and built up a new system with Veneziani's Speedy Carbonium.

  • hull : Carbon composite
  • superstructure : Carbon composite
  • deck : Carbon composite
  • Keel : canting keel with hydraulic rams
  • Dagger boards : 2 (+ 2 spares)

Green Dragon competed in the 2008/09 Volvo Ocean Race. It was the first participation of skipper Ian Walker who later won the Volvo Ovean Race in the first edition of the Volvo 65 class with Abu Dhabi. Green Dragon is a very good overall performer and has a sweet spot in reaching. Current home base is Vigo in Spain, an excellent strategic place located half way between North Europe and the Med as well as being an ideal departure and arrival place for Atlantic crossings.
